Not-for-profit organization receives multiple accommodations from statewide affiliations
Raleigh, NC (Oct. 9, 2012) – The counselors at the not-for-profit Consumer Education Services, Inc. (CESI) Homeownership Center work tirelessly at their jobs because they know that they’re making a difference one person at a time. During the course of a week in September, when they received four accommodations and recognitions from two statewide housing organizations, the CESI team had an opportunity to look back and appreciate the difference that they are making in the world.
The two statewide organizations that recognized CESI are the following:
North Carolina Housing Finance Agency – This self-supporting public agency has financed 206,000 homes and apartments in the last three decades, including nearly 83,000 homes for first-time home buyers. In the state home foreclosure prevention project area, CESI was awarded:
N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund – Offered by the N.C. Housing Finance Agency, this is a self-supporting state agency that is funded through the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Hardest Hit Fund. The N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund operates as a separate entity under the Housing Finance Agency’s Home Protection Program. CESI was presented:
“We are very excited to have received these numerous statewide recognitions for CESI and our team,” said Sheryl Merritt, CESI Housing Program Manager. “This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in our community and beyond during the years ahead.”
CESI is a not-for-profit organization for consumers who want financial freedom by offering a complete life cycle of services: debt management, housing counseling, credit counseling, financial education and pre-bankruptcy counseling. For more information, visit www.CESISolutions.org.
